A useful correction request identifies the report, the disputed detail and evidence the newsroom can independently check.
- Send the full article URL
- Identify the exact issue and supporting source
- Follow up in the same email thread
What You Can Report
Contact us about a factual error, misleading headline or caption, incorrect date or location, inaccurate quotation, missing attribution, privacy concern or a significant omission that changes the meaning of a report. A difference of opinion is not necessarily a factual error, but you can still explain why the presentation concerns you.
Information to Include
Provide the full article URL, its headline and the date you read it. Quote the passage or identify the image or video at issue. Explain the proposed correction and include links to original records or other reliable evidence. Give a reply email and say whether your concern involves personal safety or information about a child, without sending unnecessary sensitive records.
How Review Works
The editorial team assesses the request, checks the available source material and may ask for clarification or contact the relevant parties. Depending on the findings, the outcome may be a correction, clarification, additional context or an explanation that the available evidence does not support a change. A request alone does not automatically result in removal.
How Changes Are Presented
Significant factual corrections should be explained in the article so readers can understand what changed. A developing-news update adds later information; a correction addresses something previously stated inaccurately. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may not need a separate correction notice when they do not alter the meaning.
Complaints Beyond Factual Accuracy
For concerns about privacy, copyright, misleading commercial presentation or harmful content, identify the page and the nature of the concern clearly. Where the issue concerns your personal information, use Privacy Request in the subject. This editorial contact route does not require you to publish the complaint as a public comment.
Follow-up and Further Review
If you believe an important part of your request has not been addressed, reply in the same thread, reference the original message and explain the remaining issue or provide new evidence. We do not promise a fixed resolution time on this page. Any statutory rights or external remedies available to you remain separate from this editorial review process.
